M & R Builders sees projects through from the initial phase to completion. Armed with project managers and a full battery of tradesmen, we are capable of handling nearly any project. We have an extensive resume of completed projects.

M & R Builders is definitely a unique contracting firm. We feel our job is to provide clients with the finest design and craftsmanship possible, and that all begins with a commitment and caring attitude toward our work. Since inception, we have pressed the importance of quality, detail and safety.

M & R Builders is a licenses general contractor in the states of Mississippi, Louisiana, and Tennessee. We have constructed over 45 developments, including commercials and multi-family apartment buildings ranging up to 50 units.


We have a dedicated estimating and design build team, which work closely with the architect and engineer while providing the highest quality project for the owner and end user.

M & R Builders is capable of high quality, efficient production with supervised crews in all aspects of construction. All of our projects are staffed with a full time superintendent and have a dedicated project manager.


We have adequate general liability insurance, workman's compensation insurance, and are able to obtain a payment and performance bond upon request. We also have experience with prevailing wage, Davis Bacon Regulations and other workforce restrictions such as minority business and female business.

Meet Our Team

JERRY MCBRIDE

As a founding principal of M & R Builders, Jerry McBride is actively involved in all aspects of daily operations. Primary contributions include owner and subcontractor relations, material and equipment purchaser, construction financing, lender, investor, and inspector relations. Jerry has over thirty years of experience in the real estate industry as a developer, builder, and land manager. He holds the General Contractors Certificate of Responsibility for M & R Builders in MS, LA & TN. Jerry is also a MS Certified Residential Appraiser and Real Estate Broker. He is also a graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.


JACKIE MCBRIDE

Jackie McBride, M & R Builders' CFO, has more than thirty years of experience in accounting, acquiring funding, and real estate development. Jackie Brings an accounting perspective with experience in all aspects of business development and implementation. She has been responsible for the accounting of companies that range from 10 to 18 million dollars in revenue over the past 30 years. Her experience includes implementation and development of staffs, accounting management, and business development. Jackie is also directly involved in all budgeting, purchases, and cash control. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Delta State University.


JOHNNY MCBRIDE

Johnny is the oldest son of Jerry and Jackie and has been in the family business for more than 10 years. Johnny's primary job functions are overseeing the beginning stages of building. He acquires quality materials from vendors, manages subcontractors, and ensures safety in the priority during all stages of the construction phase. Johnny lives with his wife Amy and their daughter Mollie in Flora, MS and attended Mississippi State University.


JERRY DEE MCBRIDE

Jerry Dee is the youngest son of Jerry and Jackie McBride. Like Johnny, Jerry Dee's primary responsibilities are overseeing the structural construction phase, acquiring quality materials from vendors, oversees contractors, and ensures safe construction site. Jerry Dee resides in Starkville is also a graduate of Mississippi State University.
